About Us

Covenant Presbyterian Church is at the crossroads of the explosive growth in Gainesville and the surrounding area. The church is located at 1001 NW 98th Street just one block off Newberry Road. We are convenient to the growing housing developments located on Newberry Road and NW 39th Avenue. In addition, the communities of Newberry, Archer, and Trenton are not far away.

Covenant Presbyterian Church is a place of worship. Members and a number of visitors gather each Sunday to worship God. Our service is blended worship service. It includes elements that are contemporary (praise music) and traditional (hymns) in nature. Children have a special message each week and we have extended care and nursery for them as well. Our service includes a time to share gratitude’s and concerns. Following worship, we enjoy a time of fellowship so that we can greet each other in the name of Christ.

Covenant Presbyterian Church seeks to encourage spiritual growth in a variety of ways. Small groups meet weekly. We also offer a number of learning, fellowship, and study opportunities. We have sent a number of youth to the Montreat Youth Conference. We are currently developing a program for younger children.

Covenant Presbyterian Church shares.  Cub Scouts, twelve-step programs,  and Gainesville’s Flute choir use our facilities.  We also offer a beautiful meditation walk on the south portion of our property that we share with Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.  It is a place of prayer where you can be alone or enjoy the company of others in an outdoor wooded setting.

Covenant Presbyterian Church reaches out through a variety of outreach programs. We support the ACORN clinics and St. Francis House. We participate in Family Promise, a program for putting families back  into the community whole.

Covenant Presbyterian Church seeks to live our theme of “Loving God by Serving Others.” Please consider joining us.
