Covenant contributes to mission groups that bring good works and good news throughout the world.
The Christian Dental Society (CDS)
The Christian Dental Society (CDS) is a group of dental students who are passionate about their Christian faith. We go on a mission trip to Guatemala every year and we help organize community dental treatment through GCM in Gainesville.
The energetic dental students of the Christian Dental Society bring the stories of their mission trips to Guatemala where there is great need for dental services as well as hunger for Eternal Life. Sometimes the stories are about being able to alleviate long standing dental pain; other stories are about personal revelations through the teaching of The Word, or a spectacular sunrise as seen over a dense tropical forest. God speaks to us all.
Covenant has been a strong supporter of this Christian dental mission over the last 10 years, providing critical medications, supplies, and services. It provides a very personal opportunity to reach needs of our world beyond our community, state, and country.
Presbyterian Missions
The Presbyterian Mission Agency is the ministry and mission agency of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Four ministry areas carry out our work: Compassion, Peace and Justice; Racial Ethnic & Women’s Ministries; Theology, Formation and Evangelism; and World Mission.
The Presbyterian Mission Agency is faithfully working to inspire, equip, and connect all Presbyterians to do Christ’s mission, bringing together congregations, worshiping communities, mid councils, mission networks, and other parts of the church ecosystem as they nurture and shape disciples and serve Christ in the world.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child blesses children with joy, hope, and love. By distributing shoeboxes full of hand-packed unexpected gifts and letters, the organization touches the lives of children world-wide. The treasures and personal letters inside communicate that someone cares for them and give them an opportunity to experience the love of God.
